Ballantyne
Ballantyne is an area located just south of downtown Charlotte. It is not a town by namesake, but a town by feel. It is a master planned community of over 2,000 acres developed by local businesspeople beginning in 1990.
The area consists of a 500 acre corporate business park, the Ballantyne Country Club, Golf Course, Ballantyne Resort, Movie Theater, Shopping Centers and Restaurants. A new Aloft hotel is under construction and expected to be completed during 2009.
Ballantyne is one of the fastest growing zip codes in the country with newcomers from all over. It’s a great area to live, work and play. Walking trails, parks and recreation centers provide options for active lifestyles.
Homes in the area are priced from the $170’s to $3 million. Average home prices are in the $500,000 range.
Townhomes range from the mid $140’s to mid $440’s.
With only a 17 mile commute to downtown Charlotte, Ballantyne is an exciting place many have decided to call home.
